Seriously, redo these but with the same IR on both pedals. Maybe 2-3 different IR's for a wider comparison. With same IR's, try to tweak the EQ's to see how they react at different settings and if they can sound more similar. That would be a great series of videos.

This comparison is not valid if the same IR isn't used in both pedals.

The toneX can capture amp settings yeah? For big reverbs I've not found anything better than my old Quadraverb... So if I capture my amps sound I could store it on the toneX?

Will this pedal go straight to an amp cab? Or does it need an amp also? Can I just use this as the only amp on stage then have a cab behind me for the onstage sounds?

What is wrong with B? Sounds like something has bad ground? I have experienced the issue with my rigg a few days ago, a pots nut on a pedal had gone loose resulting with the same annoying squeal. On the NUX having S/R pre IR makes it sound better, also lower BIAS between 9-11 o’clock is more in the ballpark of a regular 800. Personally I prefer having the NR after the Amp and EQ, utilizing the EQ with main volume all down to allow more master volume and cutting+boosting bands slightly to get it close to a recorded 800. Analog boost pedals in front of the unit also help to make it feel more natural, got a ToneBender Mk1 for clipping character into a Nux Tubeman for the midbump, FET transistor and toneknob to tighten it up and getting som high frequencies back, my selfbuild triple germanium transistor ToneBender pushes a lot of lowend. Gives me exactly the rock sound I want as with a real JCM800 with the guitar volumeknob useable as a rythm/solo controll, so not usable for cleaning up the sound, old TB circuits are not made for that. ChopTone has better IR’s than the ones comming with the unit, anyway, would have been fairer to load the exact same user IR’s into both instead of using “the same” factory IR’s, they are not the same.
